THE ARTIST

Liza Girling was born in Colchester (UK) in 1938. She studied at St. Martins School of Art, London, in the 1950's and has recently followed short courses in fashion illustration at the same school (now Central St. Martins College of Art and Design). She has lived in Italy for many years, currently in the small town of Anguillara, near Rome, on the shores of Lake Bracciano.

In addition to fashion illustration, Liza paints the very inspiring local landscapes in watercolour and in pen and wash.

L'ARTISTA

Liza Girling è nata a Colchester (UK) nel 1938. Ha studiato presso la St. Martins School of Art, di Londra, negli anni '50, e recentemente a seguito alcuni corsi nel l'illustrazione di moda presso la stessa scuola (adesso chiamata Central St. Martins College of Art and Design). Vive in Italia da molti anni; attualmente risiede nel piccolo paese di Anguillara, sulle sponde del Lago di Bracciano, vicino a Roma.

Oltre a dedicarsi all'illustrazione di moda, Liza dipinge in acquarello e china acquarellata, ispirandosi agli incantevoli paesaggi intorno al lago.
